app-install-data software package provides Ubuntu applications (data files), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install app-install-data
app-install-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the app-install-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep app-install-data *
You will get with app-install-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
